The city of Cape Town is a 40 minute drive from the Guesthouse, with a wide variety of attractions on offer: The Waterfront, Table Mountain Cable Car, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, The Aqarium, Big Wheel, Trips to Robben Island, Harbour cruises, Shopping, Museums, Red bus city Tours, etc.
The world famous Stellenbosch wine route is only 20 minutes' drive away which follows onto Franschhoek and Paarl.
Golf courses such as Erinvale and Arabella are on your doorstep. There are a few Day Spas within a short drive from Gordon's Beach Lodge.
Many scenic Routes along the coast can be explored, from Cape Town to Camps Bay, on to Houtbay, Chapmanspeak, Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Simonstown, Kalkbay and Muizenberg. These villages along the coast are absolute gems for quint dining, shopping, sight seeing and indulging in some great music, art and culture.
Strand, Kogel Bay, Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay and Kleinmond are all excellent surf spots within a short drive from here.
At Gordons Bay Harbour, Deep sea fishing, Catamaran Cruises, Yacht Cruises, and Scuba Diving can be booked. There is also good fishing all along the Coast of False Bay.
Good Hiking Spots are within walking distance or a short drive from the Lodge.

The Crystal Pools hiking trail is only a 20 minute drive from the Lodge. This is a popular and easy hike to a series of mountain pools in a kloof. It is unofficially known as Crystal Pools, but it officially forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, the hike is along side the Steenbras river gorge. Beautiful waterfalls and pools (where you can have a swim) are on this trail,
The penguin colony at Stony Point at Silversands, Betty’s Bay, is only half an hour’s drive from the guesthouse. The most natural environment to do some penguin watching.
